Pilot Mountain Dogs

14 dogs were left homeless when their elderly owner died. This man had an original breeding pair of ES many years ago and continued to breed dogs to work his cows over the years.  Although recent breeding was unclear, knowledgeable ES people felt the dogs were ESy enough to be brought into NESR.

There were 11 adults and 3 pups.  NESR volunteers traveled to Mount Airey, NC and worked with the dogs for several weeks while their medical needs were being met.  Then, the dogs were transported to their new homes by adopters and NESR volunteers.  The big ‘Thank you’ to Linda and Wade Collins who rearranged their lives to make sure these dogs were saved.
